My Learning was Lit

Allusion- an expression that brings something to mind
Plot- main idea
Theme- the topic
Diction- the use of words
Syntax- arrangement of words
Indirect characterization- slowly reveals the character's personality
Direct characterization- tells you specifically the character's personality
Static Character- doesn't get an important change
Dynamic Character- gets an important change
Symbolism- something represents an event or a meaning
Synecdoche- something refers to the whole vice versa

Carlota's Presentation

Carlota's question was, "Do we really appreciate the education we are receiving?" Carlota then showed us the differences between USA's and Mexico's education system. From her point of view, here in the U.S. students think teachers give out too much homework and in Mexico they crave homework. Carlota also told the class how going to Mexico had a impact in her life by making her more appreciative.

Piablo's Presentation

Pablo wishes to be an Orthodontist and he plans to assist Alan Hancock but before he dies he's going to Boize to see how it all works out (learn).

Gabriel's Presentation

Gabriel's question was, "What is Magic?" Gabriel told us how he got motivated from a magician in the show Fool Us. He then explained how there is different types of magic. Gabriel then did a magic trick in front of the class and once this was done the classroom was suprised from what he did and asked for him to continue to do other tricks for us.

Diana's Presentation

Diana's question was, "Why are some people able to sing and some not?" Diana then told us how she got her confidence in her singing from her teacher. She then told us how she didn't join in highschool because she felt she was going to be judged. Diana told the whole class how she would love to sing as a career.

Bryan's Presentation

Bryan's question was, "What would the world be without religion?" Bryan then explained to us how without religion 911 would have never happened and how life would be boring since we have nothing to worry about etc.
