Part 2 Fahrenheit 451

When Montag unplugs the tv and takes out the book, Montag then starts reading it aloud. While reading it aloud Mrs.Phelps starts crying because she hears the emotions in his words. Mrs. Phelps doesn't know why she is crying.

Fahernheit 451 Questions

1) In the scene where Mildred and Montag read books together, Mildred's reaction was frustrated and upset while reading, "Books aren't people." While Montag is motivated to read.
2) The effect throughout sections 1 and 2 of the bombers flying over is that the government has them controlled and that the city will be destroyed by these bombers
3) Professor Faber is a retired english prifessor who was thrown out when the last liberal art college was shut
4) Montag reacts to the commercial by trying to block out the noises as he reads from the bible. Montag finds it too difficult, so he begins to argue out loud and others begin to stare at him.
5) Faber's arguement for books are quality, leisure and the right to carry out action based on what we learned from the interation of the first two.
6) The "small green metal objects" are like transportable devices to speak and hear
7) White Clown show is meant to show the society of the peoold to be mindless drones who are easily and cheaply amused.
8) Mrs.Phelps cried because she hears emotion in his words.
9) Montag's unkown destination is his own home.
