Fahrenheit 451 Questions
1) Ray Bradbury starts the novel "It was a pleasure to burn" because it was a special pleasure to see things eaten,to see things blackened and changed. It is more pleasurable to burn books rather then reading them because they have been told books are bad.

3) The difference between Montag and Clarisse is that Clarisse's life is far more brighter. While Montag's life is darker and feels alone.
4) Seashells are like earphones and wall to wall circuts are Tus.
5) Because Clarisse is a big impact to Guy Montag. Her questions got him to think about his life.
6) Clarisse is introduced before Mildred because of the impact she has on Montag's way of thought and sense of being in the world.
7) All the houses were fireproof since this book is set in the future the houses were fireproofed for safety.

The Pedestrian
I think the theme of The Pedestrian is that we are all wanting to do nothing at all and just be with out electronical devices so that when we do something "natural" it is seened weird/suspicious. Bradbury gets this message across by telling its readers a story of him getting arrested for doing some "unusual" in the timeline of the story. The tone of the story is sympathetic. People don't walk as much in 2018 as before because people have obtained money and seen that a vehicle helps them with their transportation much faster. My opinion self driving cars is that they're cool and also a smart idea, but again i feel like humans are loosing their action of needing to learn on how to drive and by making us lazy. I think that technology makes us both more and less independent because it makes us want to be in our rooms all day long using them which is kinda like being locked up but you're not but it also does not because it provides us with entertainment which we agree upon ourselves to be in our room because we can.

Inside Out
The thoughts of Prufrock and Gatsby are different from how people see them, because there are people now that don't seem to care about finding their love since they aren't as much committed to marriage etc for Prufrocks side. And for Gatsby's side other people see it as something unintelligent since you're commiting to someone who doesn't want you back. Yes i have seen this in real life but not as much. Yes i also lnow people that appear one way on the inside and feel another on the inside because they are scared or nervous to express themselves.

What I See In Literature
3 examples of Imagery is the green light that means go so Gatsby can make his move towards Daisy. Another one is Gatsby yellow car and yellow in a light means to slow down. I kind of see this as imagery to slow down or a bad thing will occur such as what happened with Mrytle getting ran over. Finally the red light from traffic light means to stop. Myrtle's blood was the signal to stop or something far worse was going to happen.

The Great Gatsby Essay
In the novel The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the characters tend to have their own idea of the American dream. The American dream has changed throughout the years. In the 1920's the American dream was to be rich, but now the American dream is to be rich, have a big house, several cars but mainly to have power and do whatever you want. My thoughts on the American dream is piteous because everyone will be dreaming the same and not thinking farther into it. That is why my American dream is to be jovial. The idea of the American dream in The Great Gatsby may be a desire wanted for a long while by Gatsby, but it is not a good idea of the American dream.
It is assumed that the American dream is something like the ideal life, including prosperity and success, which generally it is. But my idea of the American dream is to be happy. The fundamental reason why hapiness is so important is that it's extremely vital to our own goals in life and it can help us achieve many other cherished personal ambitions and goals. You may say what if my goal is to be rich, but no matter how rich or poor you are, it is up you whether you want to be happy. Yes when you become rich suddenly you will be happy in fact you will feel awesome, but you will have the frustration in your mind when you seenthat your money was stolen or when you relaize your riches are coming to an end. Also by being happy, we have the potential to change many others lives just by being ourselves.
On the other hand, in The Great Gatsby the main character Gatsby, has a different idea of the American dream. Gatsby's dream was to repeat the past and be reunited with Daisy. Gatsby's dream is represented by the green light for his hopes and dreams for the future, but never is able to fulfill them. We see Gatsby planning the perfect reunion, but don't know what happened since Nick was out of the room, but when Nick returns Daisy is found crying. We can assume those were happy tears because Daisy and Gatsby are in a relationship from that point on. Another example is that Gatsby used material items to impress. When Daisy goes to Gatsby's house we see his shirts and cleaned mansion he uses to impress her. After all this, it ends up Gatsby being killed by Wilson because Wilson suspects Gatsby of killing his late wife Myrtle, but it was actually Daisy. This is why Gatsby's idea of the American dream is not beneficial since he does not accomplish his dream and it ends up in Gatsby being killed.
The idea of the American dream of being rich and all should be changed. It is a great image of your future being able to live in a big house and other marvelous things, but what is the point in having all this if you are not living happily. After all, living happily is important in an only one life chance.
